Flooring Sanders

Floor Drum Sanders are what you would call the real workhorses for hardwood sanding. The machine is so huge that it needs two grown adults to move it about. The floor drum sander comprises of apparatus, dust bag, and the drum on which large sheets of sanding paper are fastened.

Floor drum sanders are used to polish the floors down to the bare wood. Floor drum sander clears off the wax finish on top of the polyurethane even if the finish has worn through or if the floor has been stained or dented. You would require at least three gradations of coarse, medium, and fine sanding paper
  Flooring Sander

Floor drum sanders can clean off spots, stains and splotches from the flooring, taking the floor down to bare wood. However if you are not cautious or experienced enough you could damage the floor creating unsightly grooves. Floor sanders need to be handled very carefully for this matter. You need to concentrate while using floor sanders.

Solid hardwood floors do need to be sanded every once in a while and for this you will need the floor sander. Once you get started you have to sand and refinish it. It is going to be a painstaking task for which you need to have at hand at least three different kinds of sanders - the drum sander, vibrating sander, and the edge sander.
