|
Drum sanders are expensive equipment and hence certain rules should be followed for their upkeep and safe use. Whether you rent, borrow or buy sanders you must observe maintenance tips that will ensure the machine being in good shape for extended use.
- Always disconnect the machines power source before performing any kind of maintenance or cleaning job.
- Never disassemble the machine or expose wiring without disconnecting the electrical power.
- All required initial lubrication of internal parts is performed at the factory. So l lubricate as and when needed.
- As required, the machines should be cleaned of dust and debris using com- pressed air or a soft dry cloth.
- Periodic cleaning of external surfaces is suggested if build-up of dust and debris occurs.
- After cleaning, lubricate unpainted external surfaces with a light coating of oil for rust prevention.
- Contact a qualified electrician or sanders expert for all troubleshooting and repair that may be needed.
