The Performax 22-44 Plus Bench Top Drum Sander is an exclusively controlled machine that has infinitely variable feed rate from 0 to 10 feet per minute, giving the ultimate sanded finish and at the same time prevents machine overload. It is self-cooling, precision-machined and balanced 5" x 22" on extruded aluminum drum. The continuous-duty motor offers the advantages of heavier use for longer periods of time. It has a precision-flattened reinforced steel conveyor bed along with a no-give power feed conveyor belt. The zinc-plated steel tension rollers mount next to the drum and drum height and downward pressure is adjustable that completely eliminates snipe. With 1/16" per turn height adjustment the height adjustment support is by a thrust bearing for easy and smooth adjustments.
The large, easy-to-use cast iron height adjustment hand-wheel allows both radical height changes and minute adjustments for extremely precise sanding thickness control. A minimal assembly is required and only minimum of 400 CFM dust collection is recommended for this model. The patented abrasive take-up fasteners make for quick abrasive changes. Convenient on/off switch with overload protection are mounted at the front of the machine base. The drum operates at 1,700 RPM and the drum ball bearings are sealed and permanently lubricated. 20 Amp service required for this model.
